Position Summary

The Business Data Analyst will support all key operational functions by monitoring and analyzing master data, key Business data and master relationship data within the organization. They will be responsible for providing systems support to the Supply Chain organization including the management of systems interfaces, resolution of technical issues, report publication, ensuring compliance requirements are met and driving continuous process improvements leading to increased departmental efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensures master data integrity in key systems as well as maintaining processes to support the data quality.
• Identifies areas for data quality improvements and helps to resolve data quality problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process controls and improvements, or process design strategies
• Ensures master data quality/accuracy of master data in key Business systems, as well, development and documentation to processes with other functional data owners to support ongoing maintenance and data integrity
• In collaboration with subject matter experts, defines and implements data governance 
• Defines and implements data strategy, controls, and programs to ensure the enterprise data is accurate, complete, secure and reliable
• Aids in resolving data quality problems through appropriate error detection and correction and improvement, or process design strategies calibration with Business Data owners.
• Work closely with the business/IT to ensure alignment of master data rules and the operations of the application to meet all business requirements
• Support and coordination of required data loads for GUDID and FDA Third Party application
• Will serve as the Master Data Management subject matter expert
• Develop work instructions and standard operating procedures
• Conducts data cleansing to rid the system of obsoleted or duplicated data to ensure data accuracy 
• Support any data requirements for NPI/NPD, System enhancements and/or ERP upgrades or changes
• Support any Outside agency (FDA, TUV, Internal) audits where data pulls are required
• Write and execute test scripts and participate in the implementation of system changes
• Facilitate the Inventory Discrepancy Reporting process and work with Planners to resolve material movement errors which cause inventory misalignment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required (additional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree).  
• Must have 5+ years of experience in a similar role working for a high-tech manufacturing company.
• Experience in the medical instrumentation industry is preferred.  
• Experience with Dataflo and SAP ERP software
• Advanced expertise with Microsoft Excel (vlookups, pivot tables and macros)
• Experience with Microsoft Office and specifically Project, Visio, Access and SharePoint
• Experience with Winshuttle
• (CDMP) Certified Data Management Professional is a plus.
• Strong customer service focus
• Strong leadership qualities and the ability to facilitate people working towards a common goal
• Strong organization, prioritization, analytical, documentation and problem-solving skills
• Ability to partner and speak fluently with the IT, Supply Chain and all other business functions
• Ability to convert a business need into a system solution
• Experience working with industry standards, regulations, and guidelines in database warehousing and other relevant systems.
• Experience with execution in data transformation in ETL(extract, Transform, Load)
