• In this role the ML scientist will be responsible for building AI/ML solutions, work with engineering team to deploy the solution and continuous monitoring of the solutions.
• ML scientist will work with Analytics and Product teams to optimize the current ML solutions that we have in the team.

This role is in Global Analytics and Data Science org. Our team works on Payment processing, Developer Experience (Chatnbots and Assistans) and Microbusiness. Our ML solutions directly impact revenue and margin for PayPal.

Our ML solutions directly impact revenue and margin for PayPal. We are optimizing Authorization rates, latency and transaction expense for each transaction, we also help small and large enterprises to easily integrate with PayPal platform and use our multiple offerings.

Your day to day

In your day to day role you will

Partner closely with Product Managers to understand new product offerings being built and recommend the right ML solution to optize our features
Identify key metrics, conduct rigorous explorative data analysis, and build business cases that drive decision making and business prioritization
Work with engineering teams for deploying ML solutions
Support multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
Provide strategic and tactical guidance on specific data elements that need to be tracked to enable tracking of metrics and assess user behavior
Collaborate with data platform teams to build/enhance necessary data platforms to provide metrics & business insights and build alerts to monitor those metrics.
What do you need to bring-

Strong SQL skills and visualization skills with a lot of attention to granular details in data
Extensive experience in development and deployment of ML solutions
Ability to perform deep dive analyses on key business trends from multiple perspectives and package the insights into easily consumable presentations and documents
Ability to front end and interact with stakeholders
Ability to do research on technical problems and propose innovative solutions
