Job Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated WordPress Developer to join our dynamic team. As a WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining WordPress websites. You will work on everything from theme customization and plugin integration to website optimization, ensuring that our sites are user-friendly, efficient, and visually appealing.
Key Responsibilities:
WordPress Development: Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins.
Theme Customization: Customize existing WordPress themes to match client specifications, ensuring responsiveness and compatibility across devices.
Plugin Integration: Integrate and configure third-party plugins to enhance site functionality and performance.
Website Optimization: Perform regular website optimization for performance (speed, SEO, mobile responsiveness) and security improvements.
Troubleshooting and Bug Fixing: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to WordPress development, ensuring minimal downtime.
Collaboration: Work closely with designers, content creators, and project managers to implement design concepts and features.
Code Quality: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and WordPress coding standards.
Testing: Conduct testing on new and existing websites to ensure optimal functionality and user experience.
Client Support: Provide post-launch support and training to clients as needed, ensuring they are able to manage their WordPress sites effectively.
Skills & Qualifications:
Proven Experience: 3+ years of experience in WordPress development, including theme customization and plugin integration.
Proficiency: Strong experience with PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL.
WordPress Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of WordPress core, themes, and plugins.
Theme and Plugin Development: Experience in creating custom themes and plugins from scratch and modifying existing ones.
Website Optimization: Experience with website performance optimization tools (e.g., caching, image compression, speed optimization techniques).
Responsive Design: Proficient in creating responsive designs compatible with various devices and browsers.
SEO Knowledge: Basic understanding of SEO best practices and how to implement them on WordPress websites.
Version Control: Experience with version control tools such as Git.
Problem Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Attention to Detail: Strong eye for detail and ability to ensure high-quality standards in development.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical clients.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with website security practices and frameworks.
Familiarity with page builders like Elementor or WPBakery.
Knowledge of RESTful APIs and integrating them into WordPress.
Experience with eCommerce platforms, especially WooCommerce.
Basic knowledge of UI/UX design principles.
